"The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive look ever at the most important part of the economy -- the entrepreneurial part," said Inc. 5,000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. "The expansion of the list has allowed us to tell the stories of larger companies, older companies, and a wealth of companies in industries that are underreported in the business media."
"We attribute our tremendous growth over the last several years to the increased need for organizations to become savvier about the use of their internal resources to focus on their core competencies and maximize their operational efficiencies. We have focused on a set of services that generally take time away from higher-return activity in law firms, corporate law offices, and financial firms. With our a la carte service model, our extreme attention to detail, passion for customer service and unwavering dedication to keep prices low and value high, our clients are able to move many tedious operations that require not only time and expertise, but mindshare, to a trusted provider, while they concentrate on other work." said Kelly McKown, President of Incorporating Services, Ltd. Complete information on this year's Inc. 5,000, can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000. The Ultimate Credit Repair Book Reveals Secrets to Creating Economic Independence
The Ultimate Credit Repair Book Reveals Secrets to Creating Economic Independence
MOORHEAD, Minn., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle Enterprises, a financial consulting firm, announces its new publishing division, Eagle Publishing, and launches its first book -- The Ultimate Credit Repair Book (ISBN: 10-0-9798153-0-4 or 978-0-9798153-0-0).
*(PHOTO: Send2Press.com/mediaboom/07-0824-UltimCredBook_72dpi.jpg)
*(Photo Caption: The Ultimate Credit Repair Book)
Authored by James Young, the book guides readers who are seeking to repair their credit or to improve their credit score by 120 points or more.
The Ultimate Credit Repair Book shows readers how to wipe out bankruptcy, remove foreclosures, clear repossessions, sweep away tax liens, and purge late payments.
"Good credit usually means better financing," Young said. "And, better financing yields extra money that can be used for other things such as a much needed vacation hideaway or college tuition."
Not only does the book provide how-to information, it also offers peace of mind and provides readers with inside secrets that bankers and creditors have successfully kept under wraps, until now.
"It's an absolutely indispensable resource," M. Houser, a Pennsylvania reader said. "I wish I had it 10 years ago."
Topics are presented on an array of credit repair issues and reveal ways to get started on the path to financial freedom today. The book teaches people how to stop harassing credit calls with one phone call; nine easy steps to improving a credit score; how to pay off debts pennies on the dollar; how to recognize debt-consolidation company warning signs, and much more.
"Credit scores are important," Young said. "They can make or break a deal. Some employers also check credit scores to determine job suitability and insurance companies sometimes research credit scores before quoting a policy on a car or home."
Over 15 years ago, Young experienced a personal financial crisis which led him to researching the ins and outs of credit repair. Seven years ago, he founded Eagle Enterprises and has been providing financial advice and creating practical, how-to financial resources ever since.
The Ultimate Credit Repair Book promises to give readers a fresh start and a clean bill of economic health.

About FSB's America's Best Colleges for Entrepreneurs
According to FSB: "To guide you through the academic maze, FSB for the first time has compiled a selection of the best colleges for entrepreneurs. We've broken the field down into basic categories, choosing the best schools for general entrepreneurship, family business, online education, part-time executive education, social entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary studies-blending business skills with other subjects such as engineering and medicine.
"What you won't find here is a ranking. Our team is led by parents who are keenly aware of the limitations of those perennial college surveys that rely on numerical data. Counting the ratio of applicants to acceptances or the number of Ph.D.'s on staff just doesn't give you a good feel for a program's quality. Instead we relied on old-fashioned shoe-leather reporting.
"Our listings (in alphabetical order) are the result of seven months of interviews with hundreds of entrepreneurs, professors, students, alumni, university administrators, and venture capitalists. We asked each of our sources to tell us which programs they considered to be the most innovative and effective, and why. While a classroom may not teach you how to become a risk-taking visionary, it can provide the business skills that help hasten success."

Old Orchard Brands Makes Inc. Magazine's List of 5,000 Fastest-Growing Businesses in the U.S.
Old Orchard Brands Makes Inc. Magazine's List of 5,000 Fastest-Growing Businesses in the U.S.
Leading Beverage Brand is Among Top 250 Companies With More Than $125MM in Sales
SPARTA, Mich., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading juice beverage manufacturer Old Orchard Brands has made the first-ever Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest- growing private companies in the U.S. The Company is the lone fruit juice brand to make the list, posting an impressive three-year growth of nearly 32 percent.
The Inc. 5,000, an extension of Inc. magazine's annual Inc. 500 list, catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host of smaller firms. Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S. economy.
"The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive look ever at the most important part of the economy -- the entrepreneurial part," said Inc. 5,000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. "The expansion of the list has allowed us to tell the stories of larger companies, older companies, and a wealth of companies in industries like Manufacturing and Construction that are underreported in the business media."
Old Orchard Brands is the nation's third-largest producer of fruit juice. The company is one of the fastest-growing fruit juice brands in the U.S., producing more than 15 million cases of juice per year for major grocery retailers such as Publix, Walmart, Meijer, Safeway and Target. The company has played the role of category innovator with nearly 30 new product introductions over the past three years, including a number of organic, reduced-sugar and juice/tea blends.
"This is a significant nod to the strength of our brand," said Mark Saur, president and founder of Old Orchard Brands. "These lists typically are made up of smaller companies that are able to realize incredible growth because of they are new. We, on the other hand, are a well established 23-year-old company, so the fact that we're still cited among the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. is a point of pride."
The Midwest tops Inc.'s list as the region reporting the most growth with 1,046 of the top 5,000 companies residing there. The list includes other notable Michigan brands including Hayworth, FinCor, and Rockford Construction.
The 2007 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2003 through 2006. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based and privately held, independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of December 31, 2006, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2003, and $2 million in 2006.
Companies can apply for next year's Inc. 500 and Inc. 5,000 by registering with IncBizNet, the new social network for private companies that will launch this fall on Inc.com.

Egyptian Blogger, Burmese Reporter Named 2007 Knight International Journalism Award Winners
Egyptian Blogger, Burmese Reporter Named 2007 Knight International Journalism Award Winners
Along with Tom Brokaw, they will be honored at the International Center for Journalists Awards Dinner on Nov. 13
WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) has named Egyptian blogger Wael Abbas and Burmese investigative reporter May Thingyan Hein as the 2007 Knight International Journalism Award winners.
(Logo:
http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070824/DCF007LOGO )
They will be honored along with Founders Award recipient Tom Brokaw at the 10th annual ICFJ Awards Dinner at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, on November 13. The dinner also will feature Keynote Speaker Bob Woodruff and Master of Ceremonies George Stephanopoulos.
Abbas is the first blogger to win the award. His blog, Misr Digital (Egyptian Awareness,) regularly breaks stories on subjects generally avoided by local media, such as protests, corruption, and police brutality. His vivid first-hand reports, videos and photographs have attracted thousands of readers and the attention of mainstream news outlets, which have begun to pick up his hard-hitting stories.
Abbas, 32, has been arrested, interrogated, and beaten, but remains undaunted. "The bloggers in Egypt are the last independent voice," he recently wrote. "If we are silenced, no protests will be heard in Egypt ... And so the choice to blog is not only serious, but necessary."
Burma's May Thingyan Hein, 33, stands out for her coverage of controversial topics such as corruption, HIV/AIDS and poverty. A freelance journalist for several publications, she specializes in investigative stories in a country where journalists must submit their reports in advance to officials. Her breaking coverage of the spread of the bird flu into Burma, for example, forced officials to acknowledge the epidemic.
"Wael Abbas and May Thingyan Hein are blazing the path in their countries with extremely bold coverage," says ICFJ President Joyce Barnathan. "We want to honor them for exposing issues no one else will cover and encourage others to follow their example."
The award, given by the Knight International Journalism Fellowships Program, recognizes individuals who have raised the standards of media excellence in their countries. Funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Knight International Fellows lead high-impact projects that help news media make societies more accountable to their citizens.
Knight International Journalism Fellows, past and present, and other experts in the field nominated candidates for the award. A five-member jury then made the final selection. The jury included two former Knight Fellows -- Roger Atwood of the Washington Office on Latin America and John Pancake of the Washington Post -- as well as Patricia Weems Gaston of the Washington Post, Owen Ullmann of USA Today, and ICFJ President Barnathan.
The International Center for Journalists, a non-profit, professional organization, promotes quality journalism worldwide in the belief that independent, vigorous media are crucial in improving the human condition. Since 1984, ICFJ has worked directly with more than 40,000 journalists from 176 countries. Aiming to raise the standards of journalism, ICFJ offers hands- on training workshops, seminars, fellowships and international exchanges to reporters and media managers around the globe. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based and privately held, independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies - as of December 31, 2006, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2003, and $2 million in 2006.
Companies can apply for next year's Inc. 500 and Inc. 5,000 by registering with IncBizNet, the new social network for private companies that will launch this fall on Inc.com.

Gail Howard Advises How to Set Up a Lotto Pool
Gail Howard Advises How to Set Up a Lotto Pool
Powerball $300 Million! Mega Millions $200 Million! Win a Million Dollars Each with a Lotto Pool of 99 Friends
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- If the $300 million Powerball jackpot or the $200 million Mega Millions jackpot is won by your 100-member lotto pool, each of you will become an instant millionaire, says internationally recognized lottery expert, Gail Howard.
"With jackpots of this size, you can afford to share the wealth and buy more tickets than you could or should by yourself. And it might be the luck one person brings to your pool that wins the jackpot," says Howard.
She is the author of Lottery Master Guide, available online and at http://www.smartluck.com/.
"To avoid legal hassles later on, before you contribute money to a lottery pool you should draw up a simple agreement describing the pool's bylaws and have each member sign it. A pool can be two or more people sharing the ticket cost," Howard says.
Matters to be decided and agreed upon are the size of your pool, the amount of money each member contributes, how often your pool will buy lottery tickets, how the winnings will be distributed, or if small wins are to be reinvested in additional tickets.
Decide whether members should contribute equal shares or if a member can buy more than one share and collect a percentage of the win in proportion to the total number of shares he/she owns.
Decide whether the per-share quota can be raised or lowered; if a limit is set on the number of participants in the pool; if new members can be voted in; if decisions should be made by unanimous vote or by majority rule.
The pool member designated to pay the tax on winnings should fill in IRS Form 5754 and send it to the lottery. At year's end, each member receives a W2G Form taxed for his share.
"It's best if the lottery office is willing to cut a separate check to each pool member. When the prize is large, some members may opt for the annuity pay outs, others may want their share in a lump sum. When your pool wins a jackpot, seek professional advice from an accountant and lawyer before you claim it," Howard says.
Lottery Master Guide is available at http://www.smartluck.com/.
